Support my challenge to care for young Western Australians

Every school day across Western Australia, 250,000 students walk into a school where someone knows their name. In 2025, YouthCARE chaplains and volunteers showed up in 600 school communities and 38 sporting clubs across the state, from the Kimberley to the Great Southern.

They sat with students navigating hard things, served nearly 700,000 meals through Breakfast Club, delivered 30,760 wellbeing sessions, and supported more than 10,000 athletes and their families on the sidelines.

260,000 people. One consistent presence. Ridiculously good care.

Hamper Day in May

Reach and impact of Chaplaincy would not be what it is without vital links in our Community.  My team will be partnering with New Beginnings Outreach Centre's Food Relief Service on Thursday May 28 to help pack staples that help ease food insecurity in our city.  In just 1 day New Beginnings Outreach Centre can provide over 50 hampers.  That's REDICULOUSLY GOOD. Less than 24 hours till our 50+ Hamper Pack Challenge

Wednesday 27th May
Less than 24 hours till our Challenge gets underway.  I have met with New Beginnings Outreach and they are ready and waiting for us to continue the partnership that helps Chaplains reach the huge amount of families that it does each week.  These table will be transformed tomorrow to collection points for the food and essentials that will help to relieve food insecurity in the city.  There is a special section set aside to collect the hampers that Chaplains come and collect for their school families.  Watch this space tomorrow to see how we do
