Support my challenge to care for young Western Australians

Every school day across Western Australia, 250,000 students walk into a school where someone knows their name. In 2025, YouthCARE chaplains and volunteers showed up in 600 school communities and 38 sporting clubs across the state, from the Kimberley to the Great Southern.

They sat with students navigating hard things, served nearly 700,000 meals through Breakfast Club, delivered 30,760 wellbeing sessions, and supported more than 10,000 athletes and their families on the sidelines.

260,000 people. One consistent presence. Ridiculously good care.

Thank you for joining me to bring smiles to lots of faces with my flowers (and chickens and hearts and Lego and succulents). I have been blessed by the many smiles and have smiled lots myself! 
For the last Ridiculously Good week of May I would like to invite you to join me in giving smiles by 'ordering' a flower by donation to give to someone you care for. My friend asked if she could 'buy' 10 flowers for the basketball team mums by Friday so she could put them in a little basket with a note as a reminder that they are loved. There was no way 10 could be ready by then, but we went for 10 hearts instead - to still bring smiles.
Back to flowers today 🌻

One chicken leads to another...

After the first chicken was made there was a request for another, a 'Miffy chicken', resulting in another smile 😊.

Wednesday 6th May
Flowers make many people smile but chickens are a thing too. This one is for a self confessed 'crazy chicken lady'. There is more than one in Perth!

Listening

Tuesday 5th May
Unexpected things happen in life.  When we listen, we hear and share life with others.  I didn't have to hunt for a home for flower number 4.  By listening this morning the new home became clear!
