Support my challenge to care for young Western Australians

Every school day across Western Australia, 250,000 students walk into a school where someone knows their name. In 2025, YouthCARE chaplains and volunteers showed up in 600 school communities and 38 sporting clubs across the state, from the Kimberley to the Great Southern.

They sat with students navigating hard things, served nearly 700,000 meals through Breakfast Club, delivered 30,760 wellbeing sessions, and supported more than 10,000 athletes and their families on the sidelines.

260,000 people. One consistent presence. Ridiculously good care.

Your support helps provide ridiculously good care to young Western Australians.

Breakfast with Purpose

Wednesday 22nd Apr

Every day across Western Australia, YouthCARE chaplains are showing up for students in practical, meaningful ways, and one of the simplest yet most powerful is through Breakfast Clubs.

Last year alone, YouthCARE helped serve more than 694,000 meals across school communities throughout WA. This is more than just a breakfast, it is a reminder to thousands of young people that they are seen, supported, and valued before the school day even begins.

Behind every piece of toast, bowl of cereal and piece of fruit is a chaplain and a team of volunteers helping create a safe and welcoming space where students can start the day well

That is why I am getting involved.

Throughout the month of May, I will be volunteering to support school communities help serve meals at Breakfast Clubs and see this incredible work in action firsthand. I will also be visiting AgriFresh, Western Australia’s largest citrus grower, to pick fruit to help raise awareness and support for the incredible work our Chaplains do in our schools.
