Support my challenge to care for young Western Australians

Every school day across Western Australia, 250,000 students walk into a school where someone knows their name. In 2025, YouthCARE chaplains and volunteers showed up in 600 school communities and 38 sporting clubs across the state, from the Kimberley to the Great Southern.

They sat with students navigating hard things, served nearly 700,000 meals through Breakfast Club, delivered 30,760 wellbeing sessions, and supported more than 10,000 athletes and their families on the sidelines.

260,000 people. One consistent presence. Ridiculously good care.

Your support helps provide ridiculously good care to young Western Australians.

We are like Jenga block cks

Friday 8th May
https://www.ridiculouslygood.com.au/s/148/146/s

Today I spent some time with a student that is having a hard time at home and lives in not great circumstances. We played Jenga and chatted about how sometimes we have to pick ourselves up after hard times and rebuild brick by brick, just like in Jenga. It's not always easy and sometimes we keep getting knocked over but bit by bit we can grow strong with the support of people around us. We decided that people are like Jenga blocks, strong when we get together.

I'm officially up to 22 games played. New ones today include Jenga and planet unknown

As a Chaplain we often find that board games act as a good ice breaker, or something to keep busy while we chat. So this month I'm challenging myself to go all in on the games and play 100 board games in the month of May. I will play as many different ones as I can in that time and rate them so that you can share the journey.. my poor family have no idea that they are about to be ropes into a month of games so wish us all luck!!
