Sunday 31st May I managed a half hour walk at Whiteman Park this afternoon and it only rained in the last four minutes.

It's the final day of YouthCARE's Ridiculously Good fundraising campaign, and I am glad to say that I have been able to walk every day this month except for.... today!
This is the most wintery day so far this season, and every time I think I might be able to get out, it starts to rain again. But I am not complaining because we really need the rain, and I may yet sneak in a quick walk around my local park. My garden is certainly appreciating the rain.
As I have walked throughout the month, I have often listened to a playlist of worship songs. One of my current favourites is Haddon's version of Psalm 19.
Some of the lyrics are –
The heavens declare Your glory
The skies proclaim Your name
Creation tells a story
Which resounds day after day
It is heard by every person
And perceived in all of the earth
And oh, what does it mean
That the One who created everything loves me
Oh You deserve all the praise
You sought mе out even when I ran away
So rеnew my mind and let my life
Be pleasing in Your sight
This is my prayer - that others will see the God who created everything, through His creation and, in the lives of those who love Him.

Sunday 24th May
Another full week but I was still able to fit a walk in every day – around my Local Park, on the treadmill at the gym or at Whiteman Park.
On Friday after a busy day at school, I changed into my walking shoes to do a few laps around my local park. I have probably walked around this park hundreds of times in the last ten years but on Thursday afternoon for the first time I noticed a stunning gum tree. I took a few photos and have established that it is a Eucalyptus leucoxylon pink flowering gum.
I guess there are many beautiful things in life we can miss if we are not looking for them, or sometimes they grow slowly and become beautiful, just like this tree.
