walking / maybe running 5km per day to help Chaplains keep showing up

During May, I’m walking 5km every weekday with my dog Macy to raise funds for YouthCARE, the organisation I’m proud to work for as Pastoral Care Manager.
YouthCARE chaplains provide pastoral care and support to students, staff, and families in public and private schools across Western Australia.
They also show up through SportsCARE on weekends at sporting clubs, and our specially trained PCIR Chaplains responds to critical incidents when communities need them most.
Last year they supported 600 schools and 38 sporting clubs, served nearly 700,000 meals, and delivered tens of thousands of wellbeing sessions, reaching 260,000 people with ridiculously good care.
I’ll be honest: I hate walking (and running even more). But Macy and I will be out there every weekday in May, rain, hail or shine. My goal? To run the full 5km by the end of the month.
All funds raised will help keep our chaplains showing up for young Western Australians and their communities.
