Support my challenge to care for young Western Australians

Every school day across Western Australia, 250,000 students walk into a school where someone knows their name. In 2025, YouthCARE chaplains and volunteers showed up in 600 school communities and 38 sporting clubs across the state, from the Kimberley to the Great Southern.

They sat with students navigating hard things, served nearly 700,000 meals through Breakfast Club, delivered 30,760 wellbeing sessions, and supported more than 10,000 athletes and their families on the sidelines.

260,000 people. One consistent presence. Ridiculously good care.

Your support helps provide ridiculously good care to young Western Australians.

Ridiculous Good Push-Ups for a Purpose

Tuesday 28th Apr

This May, I’m taking on a personal challenge inspired by something much bigger than myself—raising funds for YouthCARE, an organisation that supports the wellbeing of students, families, and school communities across 600 schools.  Thousands of young lives impacted every single day. An organisation I have been working for for the past 14 years.

So here’s the challenge: push-ups every day in May, building strength not just physically, but in purpose. The number 600 will be my goal for the month of May.

YouthCARE’s work is grounded in presence, care, and connection—supporting chaplaincy and wellbeing services where they’re needed most. It’s quiet, consistent, and incredibly powerful.

This challenge might seem small, even a little ridiculous. But sometimes the most “ridiculous” ideas are the ones that spark something good—conversations, awareness, generosity, and change.

If you’ve ever thought about doing something meaningful but weren’t sure where to start, maybe this is your nudge. Join in, donate, share, or simply cheer from the sidelines.

Because 600 schools is worth showing up for—one push-up at a time.
