Support my challenge to care for young Western Australians

Every school day across Western Australia, 250,000 students walk into a school where someone knows their name. In 2025, YouthCARE chaplains and volunteers showed up in 600 school communities and 38 sporting clubs across the state, from the Kimberley to the Great Southern.

They sat with students navigating hard things, served nearly 700,000 meals through Breakfast Club, delivered 30,760 wellbeing sessions, and supported more than 10,000 athletes and their families on the sidelines.

260,000 people. One consistent presence. Ridiculously good care.

Your support helps provide ridiculously good care to young Western Australians.

Invisible weights

Sunday 26th Apr
Sometimes we carry invisible weights that no one can see.

Mental health can feel like holding a big, invisible weight every day. Each worry or tough thought can make it feel even heavier.

When we go to the gym, we choose to lift weights. It can be hard, but we know it helps us get stronger, and build resilience.  In a way, that’s like what’s happening inside our minds too.

Ridiculously Resilient Crew is about using exercise to help people understand this. Every lift is like showing the challenges young people go through, even when they don’t talk about it.

By lifting weights, we’re not just building muscles—we’re helping people open up, talk about their feelings, and feel less alone.

Because no one should have to carry heavy things by themselves.

Together, we don’t just lift weights—we lift each other up.
