Support my challenge to care for young Western Australians

Every school day across Western Australia, 250,000 students walk into a school where someone knows their name. In 2025, YouthCARE chaplains and volunteers showed up in 600 school communities and 38 sporting clubs across the state, from the Kimberley to the Great Southern.

They sat with students navigating hard things, served nearly 700,000 meals through Breakfast Club, delivered 30,760 wellbeing sessions, and supported more than 10,000 athletes and their families on the sidelines.

260,000 people. One consistent presence. Ridiculously good care.

Your support helps provide ridiculously good care to young Western Australians.

Help me support YouthCARE today

Throughout May, I’ll be telling jokes to raise funds to support YouthCARE. But behind the fun is something deeply important.

Kids and families need our support. Sometimes what makes the biggest difference is simply having a listening ear, someone who understands, encourages, advocates and helps them feel safe, valued and capable. So join me in raising funds during May.

An unexpected trip to Ireland!

Sunday 10th May
THANK YOU GENEROUS SUPPORTERS. So I asked AI for help to write a limerick and ended up on a Facebook group for those who love the town of Limerick in Ireland! I am sure I would love it too, if ever I get there. In the meantime, here's something I wrote with my own brain.
There once was a gal called Ruth
Raising funds to help our youth
She thought it fun, to write a pun
Asked AI, oh, what's the use!
THANK YOU!  Keeping sharing and supporting if you can. Everyday I hear stories about the need in schools. YouthCARE chaplains listen, value and connect students, families (and staff) in 600 schools with a listening ear, social and emotional support and practical help. Thank you for helping reach more with breakfast clubs, programs and hope for the future.

2 LIMERICKS In praise of donor anonymous

Sunday 3rd May
You're truly the best of the pack!
For always having my back
You sought no fame
With jokes that are lame
You kept me from going off track :)

When I was in quite a tight spot,
And my brain was beginning to knot,
My good friend appeared,
All the trouble was cleared,
And I cherish the help that I got.

Weekend Wanderings

Sunday 26th Apr

Weekend Walk

On Saturdays under the sky so wide,

I wander where rivers and gum trees hide,

With the sun on my face,

And a slow, gentle pace,

Letting time take a long, lazy stride.

Well That Escalated!

Friday 24th Apr
Thanks Dean for a generous donation, I asked my chatty friend to create a LIMERICK...

There once was a breakfast club bright,
That helped students start the day right.
With toast, care, and cheer,
YouthCARE drew them near,
Fuelled up for learning alright!

Why did the coin go to school? To get a little cents/sense

Friday 24th Apr
Thank you, to my first donor we are on the way to helping YouthCARE support young people in need. Here's the next joke....Q. Where to fish keep their money???? Make a donation to find out!
